1 Year. 1 State. 857 Op Shops.
A collector's journey from op shop to museum.

For a hundred years blankets were made in dozens of woollen mills all over Australia.  That industry is almost completely lost now.

But when it comes to cosying up, no modern replacement has the integrity of these old blankets, most of them now older than most of us.  What else feels so right in so many situations; around a campsite, on the couch, at your favourite music festival, at any kind of picnic.

Every country has its own style of traditional blanket.

My aim was to preserve 100 examples of these pieces of history, focusing on Australia's southern states.

This website chronicles the story of that decade-long adventure.  Here is my version, of blanket fever.
